New turn of celebrities in Pasapalabra. During the next three programs, four well-known faces will be the allies of the contestants in order to win the El Rosco jackpot, a prize that already exceeds one million euros. Among this week’s guests, the presence of Jorge Lucas stands out.

The truth is that, despite new technologies, it is not very easy to track down information about this actor. And not because he does not have a proven track record in film, television and theater, but because when you go to Google and type his name, the search engine insists on offering results relating to the American filmmaker George Lucas.

Jorge Lucas, the actor, was born in Madrid in 1972. He soon opted for the world of entertainment and studied Dramatic Art, completing his training with singing classes, with Patricia Clark, and musical dance, with Luis Santamaría.

As he himself explained in an interview in EL MUNDO, his first cinematographic experience was somewhat surreal. He debuted with a small role in Licántropo, in 1995, a horror film directed by Francisco Gordilllo. “I remember that the first day they gave me two scripts: one in English and one in Spanish. It turns out that I had to speak in English and I had no idea, so I learned the script in Spanish and memorized the sounds in English. It was something terrifying, in the broadest sense of the word,” he recalled with humor.

Lucas had already premiered on television shortly before. His first projects were appearances in Antena 3 series such as Canguros (1994), ¡Ay, Señor Señor! (1994) or Let’s Get to Work (1998). He also participated in 7 Vidas (2000, Telecinco), Hospital Central (2004/2006, Telecinco) or Ana y los 7 (2005, TVE).

However, if one had to choose a role with which Jorge Lucas achieved fame, many would not hesitate to remember his fleeting courtship with Cayetana in the successful Yo Soy Bea, a series from which he ended up fleeing to New York after a homosexual relationship with Richard .

More recently, we have seen it in other television productions such as El Ministerio del Tiempo (2019, TVE), La Que se Avecina (2019, Telecinco) or El Pueblo (2022, Telecinco / Amazon Prime).

Returning to cinema, the Madrid actor was part of the cast of Tu Sangre (2022), a film directed by Guillermo Barreira.

It is in the theater where Jorge Lucas has developed a good part of his career. He has participated in twenty works, highlighting such well-known works as ¡Ay Carmela! (2019/2021), Diez Negritos (2015/2016) or Sonrisas y Lágrimas (2011/2013) or Los Chicos Del Coro (2023).

The truth is that Jorge Lucas is especially linked to Pasapalabra. It was in this program, during his time on Telecinco, when in 2016 the actor showed up to the set completely bald as a result of the chemotherapy session he had undergone for the cancer he suffered from. “With cancer you have to say it like that; you have to give it joy and be super positive,” he explained. Just a few months later, he returned to the contest to announce that he had overcome the disease.
