The Government will rise to 1,000 euros the SMI from the current 964 euros with retroactive character last January 1st.
The Vice President and Minister of Labor, Yolanda Díaz, has pointed out that Spain abandons the low wage abnormality of “Spain against Europe” and serves to raise salaries in general.
The economic model must compete on productivity and not on low salaries, she has explained she.
Díaz has irritated the warnings made by institutions such as the Bank of Spain about the impact of rises such as those applied to the SMI in the most vulnerable jobs when describing them as the announcement of the seven pests of Egypt.
