The couple of Jean-Paul Guerlain, the famous creator of 84-year-old perfumes, was acquitted on Monday by the correctional court of Versailles of the position of “abandonment of unable to protect himself”.

Christina Kragh Michelsen, a 63-year-old Francodanese woman, had been denounced by Stephane Guerlain, the son of Jean-Paul Guerlain, two years younger than the couple of his father.

The son accused his father’s pair, who suffers Alzheimer’s and is one of France’s greatest fortunes, to abuse his confidence.

“We are very satisfied with the decision. They had mounted a case to get my client from Jean-Paul Guerlain, against the will and opinion of the latter,” explained Frederic Belot, Christina Kragh Michelsen lawyer.

The couple has been known since 2005, and since 2011, Christina Kragh Michelsen lives with Jean-Paul Guerlain in the luxurious residence of the Creator.

Stephane Guerlain, who exercises his father’s guardianship, has already achieved that justice annul the couple’s wedding project in 2020 arguing that Jean-Paul was not in a position to consent to this union.

In the latter case, a doctor found that Jean-Paul Guerlain had irritations due to a lack of care.

“I am a maniac of personal cleaning and hygiene, I am Scandinavian,” Christina Kragh Michelsen was defended.

The court affirmed on Monday that Christina Kragh Michelsen had been able to “put obstacles to care, but this does not represent a crime of abandonment.”
