The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) foresees for today, Monday, a predominance of slightly cloudy skies, except in the extreme north of the peninsula at the beginning of the day, with minimum temperatures that will drop in almost the entire Peninsula.

The skies will be cloudy at the beginning in the extreme north of the peninsula, with some precipitation, especially in the eastern Cantabrian area and the Pyrenees, but the cloudiness tends to subside and decrease throughout the day.

In the rest of the Peninsula and in the Balearic Islands, slightly cloudy skies will predominate, accompanied by some intervals of high clouds. In the Canary Islands it will be slightly cloudy, with some intervals of clouds, especially in the north of the islands.

It is probable that some morning mists or fog banks will form in Galicia and the surroundings of the Cantabrian mountain range and the Pyrenees. The snow level in the Pyrenees will be between 1,200 and 1,400 meters.

The maximum temperatures will drop in the Mediterranean area, which will be notably on the Levante coast, and will rise in the western third of the Peninsula.

The minimums, for their part, will drop in almost the entire Peninsula and frosts will occur in the mountains of the northern half of the peninsula.

The winds will blow from the northwest in the northeastern third of the peninsula and, at first, in the Balearic Islands, with intervals of strong intensity in the eastern Cantabrian Sea, under the Ebro, the Pyrenees and Ampurdán.

The intensity of the wind will decrease as the day progresses. It will tend to establish a moderate lift in the Strait and it will blow from the northeast on the coasts of the southeast of the peninsula and the Canary Islands. Variable light winds will predominate in the rest of the country.
