Bad Liebenstein (dpa/th) – The town hall in Bad Liebenstein (Wartburgkreis) will resume its services on Thursday after a burglary at the beginning of the week. “We’ll open again on Thursday,” said main office manager Andy Reichel on Wednesday when asked. Visitors therefore do not have to expect any further restrictions. “We still have a few broken doors that have been provisionally patched for the time being, but everything works,” said Reichel. The town hall was broken into on Tuesday night. According to the police, unknown perpetrators first broke down the main entrance door before rummaging through the rooms inside the town hall – probably in search of cash. Property damage estimated at at least 10,000 euros was caused. Due to the clean-up work and the securing of evidence, the offices in the town hall were initially closed to visitors. City Hall was also unavailable by phone.
