Erfurt (dpa/th) – The Thuringian CDU parliamentary group has called for the extension of the deadline for submitting the property tax return in the state parliament. The CDU parliamentary group submitted a corresponding motion, which provides for an extension of the deadline until the end of March 2023, in parliament on Tuesday.
“What is possible in Bavaria should also apply to Thuringia,” said the parliamentary group’s financial policy spokesman, Maik Kowalleck. The application was submitted with urgency. Bavaria had previously extended the deadline for submitting declarations by three months. Property owners should now have time there until the end of April.
The concern of the Thuringian CDU parliamentary group to put the application on the agenda failed because of the necessary two-thirds majority. While the CDU and AfD factions, the FDP group and the non-attached MPs voted in favor, the Red-Red-Green factions were against.
