Erfurt (dpa/th) – The opposition CDU parliamentary group has asked the state government to lift the mask and isolation requirements that still apply in Thuringia. After experts also declared the corona pandemic over, these restrictions on fundamental rights could no longer be justified, said the parliamentary group’s social politician, Thadäus König, on Thursday in Erfurt. It is not enough if Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow (left) calls for a reform of the federal infection protection law.
The Thuringian Ministry of Health announced at the end of December that the mask requirement in Thuringia should also fall by the end of March. The Federal Infection Protection Act is valid until April. The existing corona rules in Bavaria had been extended by the Ministry of Health until February 3rd.
