Erfurt/Gera/Suhl (dpa/th) – Despite the energy crisis and problems with supply chains, Thuringia’s economy is again looking to the future with more optimism. The fears of a massive recession were not confirmed, said the managing director of the Erfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Cornelia Haase-Lerch on Wednesday. “Hope returns.” According to the economic surveys of the chambers in Erfurt, Gera and Suhl, there is still great uncertainty in the economy about future economic developments, but the majority of companies rate the current economic situation as good or satisfactory.
