Thuringia: man dumps water barrel in sub-zero temperatures: pensioner falls

Mühlhausen (dpa/th) – A pensioner in Mühlhausen slipped and fell heavily on a frozen puddle of water. As the police announced on Wednesday, a 60-year-old had emptied a barrel filled with 400 liters of water on the street in front of his house the day before. When crossing the street, the 79-year-old slipped there – because of the low temperatures, the water was frozen. The pensioner was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The 60-year-old is now being investigated for negligent bodily harm and dangerous intervention in road traffic.
