Erfurt (dpa/th) – A new program for start-ups is intended to support young entrepreneurs in Thuringia in sustainable management and provide them with mentors from successful companies. The program was started at the Center for Business Start-ups and Entrepreneurship (ThEx), the Ministry of Economics announced on Thursday in Erfurt. The project will initially be funded until the end of 2025 with almost 1.9 million euros from EU and state funds. “Only a sustainable economy is an economy of the future,” declared Economics Minister Wolfgang Tiefensee (SPD).

Small companies in particular are to be supported with challenges such as the transport and energy transition and the associated technological change. The offer ranges from information about company checks, one-on-one meetings and events to a supportive mentoring program.
