Erfurt (dpa/th) – With only moderately warm weather, excursion traffic on Saturday in Thuringia was limited. By midday, the police had reported little traffic on the roads in the Free State.
When the sky was overcast and the air was muggy, the Egapark in Erfurt, for example, was only moderately attended. Only at the large children’s playground were there numerous families with children. In contrast, the treetop path in the Hainich National Park reported a higher number of visitors than on other weekends.
The Inselsberg Funpark was also well attended, where young and old guests cavorted on the summer toboggan run or the trampolines. According to a spokesman, it was relatively quiet in the Eckartsberga amusement park. “If the weather is nice tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, we expect significantly more visitors.”
