Gera (dpa/th) – A fire broke out in a homeless shelter in Gera on Saturday. Around 15 residents then had to be accommodated elsewhere, the police said on Sunday. According to initial findings, there was a smoldering fire in a false ceiling. A technical cause cannot be ruled out, it said. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are still unclear. The home is currently uninhabitable.
