Meinigen (dpa/th) – A 30-year-old man who is said to have helped others to ambush a man and attack him has to answer to the district court of Meiningen on Monday (from 9 a.m.). The public prosecutor’s office in Gera accuses the accused of having scouted out the later victim in December 2019 in Eisenach. The companions of the accused are said to have attacked the man and some of his companions with batons, among other things, according to the regional court.
According to earlier information from the Gera public prosecutor’s office, the victim should be assigned to the right-wing extremist scene. The accused is said to come from the environment of a suspected left-wing extremist who has had to answer to the Dresden Higher Regional Court since 2021, among other things, on charges of forming a criminal organization.
