Renfe continues to increase the commercial circulation of Avlo, the high-speed service with affordable prices. After Madrid-Barcelona, Madrid-Valencia and Madrid-Alicante (in both directions), low-cost trains now arrive in Andalusia with a promotion in which the railway company puts 17,000 tickets on sale for 7 euros.

Avlo’s initial service in Andalusia will be two daily trains, one in each direction, Seville-Madrid and Malaga-Madrid, with intermediate stops at all the stations along the route: Antequera Santa Ana, Puente Genil, Córdoba, Villanueva de Córdoba, Puertollano and Real city. From all the stops located in Andalusia, tickets can be purchased at 7 euros for journeys with Madrid.

Although it will not be until June when the new service begins to circulate, from this Wednesday, April 12, Renfe puts 17,000 tickets on sale for 7 euros to travel between June 1 and December 30, 2023.

These tickets are sold in Basic class, which allows you to travel with free luggage that is made up of a cabin suitcase and a bag or backpack. The added cost for extra luggage amounts to 10 euros. Other additional services are: seat selection, changes or cancellations.

Children under 14 years of age have a basic rate of 5 euros, yes, the minor must always be accompanied by the issuance of an adult ticket (maximum of two child tickets per adult). As Renfe points out, large families can obtain discounts of 20% in the case of a general category and 50% for large families in a special category.

At the end of last March, Renfe opened the Avlo between Madrid and Alicante (in both directions and with stops in Albacete, Cuenca and Villena) with tickets from 7 euros, a price that can be found today, depending on the chosen date, through the service search engine. It is also possible to find a place with that rate for trips from or to Valencia or Barcelona with the capital of Spain.

Avlo’s first service launched in June 2021 between Madrid and Barcelona, with stops in Guadalajara, Calatayud, Zaragoza, Lleida and Tarragona. In February 2022, it began its operations in Valencia, with stops in Cuenca and Requena-Utiel. Weeks later, high-speed low-cost trains arrived in Alicante and now reach Andalusia. Only the corridor to Galicia remains, although this will require more time, since the international track gauge only goes as far as Ourense.

To buy Avlo tickets it is necessary to be registered at avlorenfe.com or renfe.com. The passenger’s name is printed on the ticket, so they must carry a valid identity document with a photograph (ID card, driver’s license, residence card or passport) and show it in case Renfe personnel request identification .

Other channels for purchasing Avlo tickets are: station ticket offices and vending machines (without add-ons); telephone (912 320 320); travel agencies and post offices of Correos.
