The Supreme Court has agreed with Antonio David Flores. The Social Chamber has confirmed the annulment of the dismissal of the former collaborator of Sálvame, thus rejecting the appeal of La Fábrica de la Tele. They corroborate, therefore, that the producer must pay the former husband of Rocío Carrasco 150,000 euros in compensation: 120,000 for moral damages and another 30,000 for damages.

This judicial decision unifies criteria with previous resources. Antonio David Flores began his legal battle when he was fired through a live statement on March 22, 2021, two days after Telling the truth to stay alive premiered. In said docuseries, broadcast on Telecinco, Rocío Carrasco recounted having suffered alleged episodes of ill-treatment by the hitherto collaborator of Sálvame.

Just two days later, the presenter of Sálvame, Carlota Corredera, announced the “cessation of the employment relationship” of the program and the producer with Flores. However, he decided to go to court. The courts agreed with him in the first instance, ordering La Fábrica de la Tele to pay him the amount of 80,000 euros. The Supreme Court also did so later, which even increased the amount to be paid up to 120,000 euros for moral damages.

“The current appeal for the unification of doctrine is the subject of the judgment issued by the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid on April 29, 2022, in which, with an estimate of the appeal deducted by the appellant worker, the court ruling is rectified exclusively in the amount of compensation for moral damages amounting to 120,000 euros”, includes the summary of the appeal to which LOC has had access.

This decision would be based on the right to honor of Antonio David Flores. As stated by the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid “he is a person who has not been convicted of ill-treatment, because the criminal proceedings have been dismissed.” Therefore, they declare that their right to honor and their own image have been violated for issuing the docuseries without respecting his presumption of innocence.

They also highlight the relationship that Rocío Carrasco’s ex-husband had for years with the producer of Óscar Cornejo and Adrián Madrid. Also with Mediaset.
