A Russian drone attack during the night damaged Ukrainian grain infrastructure in the Odessa region (south), local governor Oleg Kiper said on Wednesday morning. Russia “attacked the southern Odessa region with attack drones for three hours,” the governor said on Telegram, explaining that “production and transshipment complexes” were hit without casualties among the civilian population.
A fire broke out there over an area of ??700 m² before being contained, he added. “Grans,” where grain is stored, “are among the damaged places,” Kiper said.
In total, the army destroyed nine “Shahed-136/131” drones from the eastern coast of the Sea of ??Azov, the South Ukrainian Defense Forces reported on Telegram.
Since Moscow withdrew in July from a cereals agreement which allowed Ukraine to export its cereals despite the conflict, Russia has multiplied the bombardments of Ukrainian port infrastructures. kyiv for its part targeted, with its drones, the Russian fleet, an oil tanker or even the bridges leading to Crimea, annexed in 2014.
Ukraine has also organized a maritime corridor for the “Joseph Schulte”, a cargo ship which reached Turkey last week without being attacked by Russia.
