The Netherlands had to draw 1-1 against Norway in a World Cup qualifier at Oslo on Wednesday. This was a disappointing start for Louis van Gaal, the new coach. After 20 minutes, the Norwegians led but Davy Klaassen equalized 17 minutes later to give the Dutch a share in the win. This was in a tidy Group G match at the Ullevaal Stadium.
The Netherlands now have seven points from their four matches and are currently second in the standings to Turkey. The unbeaten Turkey was held to a draw by Montenegro on Wednesday.
