The Ukrainian authorities confirmed this Wednesday the liberation of the city of Urozhane, in Donetsk, while the slow advance of their troops continues both in that region and in Zaporizhia (east and south of the country).

“The city was liberated. Our defenders control its limits,” said the Deputy Defense Minister, Hanna Maliar, through Telegram, to ensure that the operations of the Ukrainian soldiers have managed to “restrict” the advances of the Russian troops.

With this, the recovery of another occupied territory was confirmed, as Russian military sources had advanced when they recognized the “loss” of this town.

Maliar herself also assured yesterday that ground was being gained in the regions of Donetsk and Zaporizhia, a city that the country’s president, Volodimir Zelenski, visited yesterday.

In southern Zaporizhia, Ukrainian units involved in the counteroffensive towards Melitopol are fighting.

kyiv is not willing to cede territories under any circumstances. Ukraine thus responded not only from the offices, but also on the battlefield to statements by Stian Jenssen, head of the NATO secretary general’s cabinet, that it could cede territory to Russia in exchange for its entry into the Alliance.

Ukrainian authorities had described Jenssen’s suggestion as “unacceptable”, which was in fact disavowed by a NATO spokesman.
