WhatsApp has in privacy and security two of his main priorities.
The messaging application offers several possibilities from the settings so that the user regulates what information he wants to show others and what data he prefers to mute.

Social networks and applications such as whatsapp are a tool for spies and grathe.
Look at your photos, check your states, the information of your profile, how much you connected for the last time, etc.
Now, with whatsapp’s latest update, you will not be possible for strangers or those with whom you have never messented if you are or not online.

This new function aims to increase the user’s privacy and protect you from curious looks by default, that is, you will not have to do anything or modify your configuration.

So far, the state “online” was a public data, which now will not be available or for the numbers that you do not have in contact or for those with whom you have not chat before.
Nor can you see your last time connect if you configure it, although this does not imply a change because this option was already available in the privacy settings of your WhatsApp profile.

Keep in mind that if you have configured your privacy settings to hide your “last time”, you will not be able to see the last time of others.
Also remember that “online” means that someone has whatsapp open in the foreground on the device and has an Internet connection.
However, that does not imply that the contact has seen your message.

The whatsapp support team has reported that this new function will not change your configuration with respect to your contacts and those with whom you have chatterly chat.
It is only a security plus for those who are unknown.
