Google has announced changes in its policies that will allow children under 18 to request the withdrawal of their images from the search results, and will withdraw automatic reproduction for this set of users.

One of these news is the withdrawal of smaller images of the search results on Google images.
The Company explains that it is part of a new policy that will introduce in the coming weeks and that will allow for withdrawal to children under 18, or their parents or guardians.

Also in searches, the company will expand users up to 18 years old the ‘Safe search’ tool now available for children under 13 years of age in Family Link accounts, which allows to use filters so that adult content appears in the results.

On YouTube, Google has reported in a statement that they will gradually adjust the default rise setting to the most privacy option available for adolescents from 13 to 17 years old.
They will highlight the functions of digital well-being, and to facilitate rest and disconnection, they will deactivate automatic reproduction for users under 18 and will introduce rest and sleeping time reminders.

The company will also introduce new predetermined protections in the Wizard to avoid adult content in the experience of minors.
The history of locations is deactivated by default in all accounts, and prevents children under 13 can activate this feature, a protection that Google will extend to all users under 18 years of age.

In Play, the company will introduce a new security section, in which parents or guardians will be able to verify the applications that meet Google’s families, to decide if they download them or not so that you can use their children.
