The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, continues his distribution of public positions to direct collaborators. If the former minister Raquel Sánchez has been granted the presidency of Paradores, this Thursday she has made public that the former High Commissioner against Child Poverty becomes president of the public company Hipódromo de la Zarzuela.
This is the socialist Ernesto Gasco who has held that position assigned to the Presidency of the Government since 2020 and who will replace the one who was responsible for PSOE Communication in the equine company. Maritcha Ruiz Mateos, according to a brief statement from the State Society of Industrial Participations (Sepi).
Sepi justifies the appointment as Gasco “has a degree in Geography and History and a researcher in the Department of Urban Geography of the Autonomous University of Madrid. Deputy Minister of Transport of the Basque Government in 2009, he has extensive experience in local administration in the City Council of San Sebastián”, among other features of his resume.
Sánchez decided to abolish the High Commissioner’s department to give more powers to the new Ministry of Children and Youth within the coalition agreements, which led to Gasco’s dismissal.
In the same statement of distribution of positions, Sepi announces that to preside over Cofides it has chosen Francisco Blanco, who has been short-lived secretary general of the Ministry of Industry and responsible for a good part of the management of European funds.
Likewise, the State Society of Industrial Participations has approved the appointment of José Tejero as president of Mayasa. He was councilor for Human Resources, Finance, Urban Planning and New Technologies in the Almadén City Council during the period 2003-2011.
The Sepi formalizes the appointment of the former Minister of Transport, Raquel Sánchez, for Paradores and the former Secretary of State for Infrastructure. Pedro Saura, to preside over the Post Office.
