Bacardi Limited, a global spirits leader, has recently made a generous donation of $100,000 to the American Red Cross to support disaster relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricanes Milton and Helene. The company has also provided approximately 3,000 bottles of water and other essential goods to aid in relief efforts.
Florida, which was severely affected by both hurricanes, has been a Bacardi community since 1964. The company’s regional business in North America has been based in Coral Gables since 2009, and the Bacardi Bottling Corporation in Jacksonville has been operating for over 50 years. With approximately 580 employees in Florida and field teams in neighboring states impacted by Hurricane Helene, Bacardi is committed to supporting its communities and neighbors during this challenging time.
Tony Latham, Regional President of Bacardi North America, expressed gratitude that Bacardi’s people and business operations were spared from the hurricanes. He emphasized the importance of supporting those in need and expressed hope that the contributions made by Bacardi and other organizations will provide help, hope, and comfort to those most affected.
The funding provided by Bacardi will support the American Red Cross relief efforts on the ground in five states, including Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, and Tennessee. The Red Cross is currently providing essential services such as food, shelter, and relief supplies to affected families, with the help of partners.
