Froggers Grill and Bar is joining the lineup at Kissimmee entertainment district Old Town as the property works on a $20 million renovation.
It will be the fifth area restaurant for Froggers, the sports bar known for its wings, pizza and cheesesteaks. Froggers is expected to open this summer.
Froggers is taking the space formerly leased by Kool Katz, a 7,000-square-building on the main strip at Old Town.
“We are excited to include Froggers Bar & Grill as another great restaurant option for our guests,” said a statement from Old Town General Manager Thearon Scurlock. “Froggers Bar & Grill fits perfectly within our demographic and tenant mix, and is another example of our commitment to revitalizing Old Town.”
Froggers restaurants are also filled with big screen televisions for sporting events and pool tables.
Old Town is in the midst of a renovation project that includes a new Ferris wheel, a jukebox-inspired entrance and an auto-themed bar.
Renovations are supposed to finish in 2018.
The Kissimmee tourist spot was purchased in 2014 by a Los Angeles company, Travel Corp.
Froggers also has restaruants in Altamonte Springs, Mount Dora, Apoka and Oviedo.
