Do you like Biarritz and the blue of the ocean? Nice and the orange of its houses? Cannes and the pink of its facades? Saint-Tropez and the white of its traditional residences? Deauville and the light gray of its Planks? Saint-Malo and the dark gray of its granite walls? The French watchmaker Pequignet has chosen to design a collection of watches whose dials evoke, by their color, the atmosphere reigning in these different seaside towns.

Admittedly, there are many timepieces covering the rainbow palette on the market, but the good idea here is to invite you to take a seaside stroll thanks to watch/city harmonies. Sweet France. It was by drawing on Charles Trenet’s repertoire that Pequignet found the name of this collection based on its Attitude watch. Remember that this one appeared in 2021, first in gold in a prestigious limited and numbered edition, before adopting a steel case in 2022. And this year, it is taking advantage of the summer to adorn itself with six new tints.

“This first Douce France edition draws its inspiration from the chromatic references of our seaside heritage,” explains the French manufacturer. This watch, by nature minimalist and refined, is adorned with ultra-chic shades: pink or pastel blue, tangy orange, white, light gray or dark gray”. To accentuate the colorful effect, the textured leather straps coordinate with the dials. The designers of the watch highlight its design and proportions, as well as its 39 mm diameter, making it suitable for both male and female wrists.

Beyond the aesthetic aspect, one of the main assets of Attitude lies in its movement. It is indeed an Initial caliber signed Pequignet, claiming loud and clear its French origin. With this automatic mechanism born in Morteau, the tricolor watch industry has a “manufacture” motor also used by other brands. A 65-hour power reserve, a patented semi-instantaneous date jump system and an openworked oscillating weight visible through a sapphire caseback complete the technical data sheet of a watch that makes us see all the colors.
