This Monday the funeral of Agnès Lassalle, the 52-year-old French teacher who was murdered by a student on February 22 at the school where she taught, took place in Biarritz. There, dozens of people have gathered to say goodbye to her and her husband has starred in one of the most emotional moments of the day by dedicating one last dance to her in front of her coffin.

When leaving the funeral, the coffin, accompanied by an image of the woman, waited under the stairs of the church for the arrival of the hearse. At that moment, her widower has begun to dance, as if he were doing it with her, to the rhythm of the French version of the song ‘Love’, by Nat King Cole, which was playing through some speakers.

Friends of the deceased who danced in pairs have joined him, as a posthumous tribute.

The woman died on February 22 after being stabbed by a student at the school where she worked, the Santo Tomás de Aquino school, in San Juan de Luz, the French Basque Country.
