The fast-food restaurant chain Burger King wants to become a pioneer in the trend to avoid meat: In its 750 German branches, the company has been offering a vegetarian counterpart for all beef burgers and almost every other meat dish since this week. “We want to give our guests a choice and we expect that to go very well,” said Marketing Director Klaus Schmäing in Munich.
