In the deadlocked collective bargaining dispute over the wages of port workers, the employers have called on the Verdi union to be willing to compromise. A compromise must be found “in the sense of the responsibility that we have together to ensure that the seaports work,” said the negotiator of the Central Association of German Seaport Companies (ZDS), Ulrike Riedel, the German Press Agency.
