Luis Font, who was a member of Locomía, visited the Fiesta set on Saturday, February 18. The artist collapsed in the Telecinco space, where he charged his brother Xavier de él for having thrown him out of the famous group.
“Imagine a 15-year-old boy who starts in this world. Suddenly, without knowing why and for no reason, he is pushed away. That is already painful, but when he comes from the hand of your brother, imagine what it can be”, he told Emma Garcia.
The guest spoke about the documentary series of the formation, which can be seen on Movistar. “My brother is very particular. He defines himself as egocentric, he defines us as a herd… He gets more excited with Freddie Mercury than with his own brother,” he declared after citing the production.
The musician was moved when he remembered his past and told that he had suffered from depression for a long time: “I was very ashamed of my situation. Being locked up for 27 years and not being able to open the door of your house to go out into the world, hide yourself, be ashamed of what it happened to you…”.
“I wish they had given me a little more ambition and him a lot more heart,” he said. Later he sent a message to his brother in tears and broke a photo of the two live: “I no longer want to be next to him, not on top, and much less below. I want to be far away.”
Luis Font spoke at Fiesta about some of the toughest moments he has experienced. The interviewee explained that his world fell apart when he was expelled from Locomía. “Until I left the group, I had not tried drugs. I am a hyperactive person,” he shared.
The artist admitted that at that time he began to use cocaine: “It calmed me down. I discovered that it relaxed me, but I got to the point of not leaving a 15-square-meter studio and doing a half-gram line.” He later commented: “When you hit rock bottom, you break into 25 million pieces. It took me 27 years to pick them up, stick them together… They stole everything from me, but they never stole my essence.”
