Fränzi Kühne shares the job of Chief Digital Officer at Edding. Because the traditional company “not only has permanent markers,” explains the 38-year-old in the ntv podcast “So techt Deutschland”. After nail polish and tattoo studio, it’s now the turn of the digital sector.

Fränzi Kühne is a member of the supervisory board, author and founder. In her new job, however, she is trying something completely different: the 38-year-old wants to digitize the stationery manufacturer Edding. She shares the job of Chief Digital Officer with Boontham Temaismithi. “Edding doesn’t just have permanent markers,” Kühne explains in the ntv podcast “So techt Deutschland” about her decision to work for a traditional company. The company has already developed nail polish and ink for tattoos and opened its first tattoo studio in Hamburg in 2020. Now it’s the turn of the digital realm.

But one task is not enough. Kühne also sits on the supervisory board of an insurance company – and is probably one of the few company supervisors to receive fan mail. Because the native Berliner is regularly on stage and speaks on topics such as digitization and women in management positions. “I had a lot of trouble speaking in front of people, standing on stages and blushing all the time,” she admits. In the new episode of “So techt Deutschland”, Fränzi Kühne explains why she does it anyway and what visions she has for Edding.
