On the anniversary of the Russian invasion, Kiev residents flock to the main post office. They all hope to get hold of the new stamp with a motif by street artist Banksy. On it you can see: a child defeating a large and seemingly overpowering judoka.

Ukraine has issued a Banksy stamp to mark the first anniversary of the Russian raid. It shows a motif that the world-famous British street artist left on a wall in the heavily damaged Ukrainian town of Borodjanka near Kiev.

It shows a child defeating a large and seemingly overpowering judoka. The tall man in the graffiti is said to be Russian President Vladimir Putin, who likes to boast about his black belt and judo suit. The child, also wearing a judo uniform, obviously symbolizes Ukraine. In the lower left part of the new stamp is the phrase “Get lost Putin”.

The new stamp was very popular on Friday: people queued up in front of the main post office in Kiev to buy it. Banksy, who is hiding his true identity, confirmed his authorship of the work in Borodyanka on his account on the online service Instagram.
