“Today my stage ends after 9 years of laughter at lunchtime. You have seen me in all colors and we have grown together.” With these words Lorena Castell has announced her departure from the program laSexta Zapeando.

After 9 years on the laSexta desktop program, the presenter and “vedette 2.0”, as she defines herself, says goodbye to “these wonderful years” to begin “new adventures”.

Lorena Castell’s departure occurs just a few months after having become the winner of the last edition of MasterChef Celebrity and after the success of her Bingo show for ladies. A show that she started by chance in her bar in Malasaña and that now hangs the no-ticket sign in each of her monthly shows.

“How difficult sometimes to explain what one has in mind,” he says in his Instagram post where he announced his departure from Zapeando.

In addition to collaborating with the program, Lorena Castell was also the substitute presenter when Dani Mateo was absent.

“Thanks to Globomedia for the trust and Atresmedia for these wonderful years. Thanks to all the colleagues with whom I have been lucky enough to have fun and share good times every day. To those of you who have also accompanied me in this professional growth at home”, thanked the presenter.

It is still unknown what Lorena Castell’s projects have led her to abandon Zapeando, although the artist has made it clear that the show must continue: “There are still many adventures to live. Show must go on.”

Among the projects that could have caused the departure of Lorena Castell would be the RTVE program Let’s get along well, which was canceled after its first broadcast for having less audience than “teletext”, according to the presenter chosen at the time, Ana Morgade.

RTVE is looking for a return to the format and a new presenter to take charge of the battered space. The public channel has shown her confidence in Lorena Castell in recent months, especially after her victory on MasterChef Celebrity, even broadcasting one of her shows or taking her as a guest to the first program of the also canceled All Against 1.
