Two years after the theatrical release, writer Quentin Tarantino turned the story into an ebook.
Hollywood 1969… You should have been there! The title of the book looks like a pulp novel.
The book “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” is 400 pages long and follows the dialogue of the movie screenplay but also includes some new elements.
The ending of the movie, with Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio), facing the Manson family is at the beginning.
Tarantino also explores Manson’s life and expands on the story to show more of Los Angeles during that time.
HarperCollins published the book. It is described as “Quentin Tarantino’s long-awaited debut work of fiction — at the same time hilarious, delicious and brutal — it’s the always surprising, often shocking new novel based upon his Academy Award-winning movie.”
