Shannen Doherty hit a big milestone in her breast cancer treatment. The actress revealed that she’s now completed with chemotherapy.
The former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star wrote on Instagram on Friday: “Final day of chemo. Exhausted.”
“Now that I’m completed with chemo and radiation, the waiting game is right here,” Doherty, 45, continued. “Waiting for test. Waiting to see if I am clear or not. Waiting for reconstruction. Waiting.”

Doherty concluded, “I feel when 1 gets cancer, they are usually waiting to a particular extent. To those who know … I’m waiting with you. #cancerslayer.”
In 2015, Doherty went public with her breast cancer diagnosis when she sued her former business enterprise managers for enabling her health insurance coverage to lapse. That case reportedly was settled last August.
Doherty underwent a mastectomy, and when she learned that the disease may have spread to her lymph nodes, she began chemotherapy.
In an interview on her friend Chelsea Handler’s Netflix series, “Chelsea,” Doherty opened up about how the illness has changed her.
“I assume what’s lovely and difficult and exciting about cancer is that it tears you down and builds you, and tears you down and builds you and it remakes you so numerous various instances,” she mentioned.
“So the person I believed I was supposed to be or was going to be or who I thought I was six months ago is now somebody completely distinct,” Doherty added. “And I understand ‘Wow, I truly believed that I was so brave and so gracious this whole time and genuinely I was just hiding.'”
