The 1 broadcast a new installment of MasterChef 11 on Monday, April 17. Izarbe and Manuela, two applicants who had been left with black aprons in the casting, were eliminated from the night. They failed to pass a test in which they were fighting to be part of the competition officially.

David was going to be expelled after a challenge in which the contestants had to make an Alaska cake with ice cream. The young man was excited and thought that he was going to leave, but Pepe Rodríguez told him: “We know that you are very excited. For this reason, this jury has decided to give you one last chance to defend that apron in a new kitchen.”

Izarbe and Manuela appeared and hugged their partner. The three had to face one last baking challenge and present a whiskey tart. Only one of them could go up to the gallery and join the other contestants.

The jury was pleasantly surprised by David’s work. “We don’t understand how an Alaska pie went wrong for you and now you made us this whiskey pie. It was quite good. We want to believe that perhaps you have followed the advice we have given you in the previous cooking session, that you listen and are attentive” commented Pepe Rodríguez.

The judge addressed the other two applicants and made it clear that their creations had not been successful: “Izarbe and Manuela, those cakes did not look like the original at all and they were not tasty either. So I have to tell you that you cannot enter MasterChef. You do not have the level we require at this point”. Therefore, they were forced to leave the kitchens, while David stayed and escaped expulsion.

Izarbe and Manuela thanked the MasterChef 11 jury and hugged David before leaving. “Believe in yourself, darling, that you are worth a lot,” they told her. The eliminated also greeted the contestants in the gallery and wished them luck.

For his part, the bran was very happy: “You don’t always get second chances. From now on, enjoy a lot.” In addition, he pointed out that he had broken the curse on the bed in which he slept: “Everyone who has passed through, from what I have been told, has gone outside… I will continue sleeping in bed.”
