RTVE has announced a bomb signing this Friday: Pilar Rubio will record this summer at the studios of the Public Entity in Sant Cugar Make up stars, the first major entertainment format on the RTVE Play platform, which will try to find the next great makeup professional.
The contest, produced in collaboration with Mega TV, represents RTVE’s first major commitment to its streaming platform, and combines the large television format and its way of portraying beauty and that of the new makeup professionals and their influence from TikTok and social networks.
Along with Rubio, two prominent figures from the makeup industry are part of the program team who will be permanent judges during the six episodes that Make up stars will be composed of: David Molina, internationally recognized makeup artist for his collaborations with Dior, Versace and Givenchy among many other brands, and Camila Redondo, designer and influencer, who is one of the most influential voices in the world of online beauty and makeup.
The contest aspires to discover the 360º make-up artists of the future, talents that will become benchmarks in make-up and beauty, highlighting the importance of make-up as a form of artistic expression and always promoting the talent of the participants.
Each episode will be dedicated to a specific facet of makeup – beauty, body painting, the future, drag queen – and will challenge participants to demonstrate their creativity and skills in different styles and techniques. Spectators will be able to witness amazing transformations and learn about the latest makeup trends alongside the jury and a relevant celebrity who will add their knowledge and experience to the theme of the contest.
At the end of the season, the most versatile applicant will win the Crystal Brush, along with makeup training and a collaboration on the set of a major production.
