La 1 aired a new installment of MasterChef 11 on Sunday, April 9, after being suspended by RTVE on Tuesday the 4th. Carlota had to hang up her apron after becoming the fifth expelled from the culinary ‘talent show’.

The applicant competed in the elimination test with Jeremy, Leti, Laura, Marta, Jotha, Eneko, Larraitz and Fray Marcos, her teammates from the red team. They decided to save Ana, who got rid of the challenge and was able to go up to the gallery.

Carlota had to cook with frozen food in the challenge. She prepared a dish of monkfish and leeks with wine, onion and garlic. Although she was optimistic and sure of her work, the result did not convince the judges. Jordi Cruz indicated that it was very simple: “Nothing stands out and the cooking of the main product is not good.” Pepe Rodríguez commented: “The fish is infinitely tasteless, dry, poorly done. You just have to take care of cooking a little more than in a fresh one.”

The young woman was on the tightrope with Jotha and Eneko. The jury announced that she was the one chosen to leave the competition, something that left some of her classmates speechless, such as Laura, Marta and Luca.

Carlota spoke about her dish after discovering that she had to leave: “I was happy. Let’s see, I knew I had a little flaws, but hey… I cooked well, I’m happy and it’s a shame that it didn’t turn out as well as I thought and as I expected. Life!”

The expelled assured that she made a positive assessment of her time on the program: “I’ve had a blast, I’ve met super cool people. I can already say that I’ve been a MasterChef aspirant. Millions of thanks for the opportunity. I would repeat a thousand times.”

Like other eliminated, Pepe Rodríguez asked her to say who could win MasterChef 11. She admitted that her favorites are Pilu and Lluís: “I think they will go super far. I take them forever and I hope they have a lot of time left here”.

The aforementioned confessed that she was sad to have to say goodbye to Carlota: “She is my right hand and I am going to miss her very much. She was my shoulder to lean on. For me it is a very important fault. I do not know how I am going to handle the rest of the program without her”.
