RTVE has announced this Thursday the start of the recordings of the new season of its popular science program Órbita Laika, which has been broadcast on La 2 for nine years. The announcement has raised blisters in the unions of the Entity, which denounce a maneuver to “feed the benefits of the producer” K-2000, of the Mediapro group.

With a concentration before studio 5 in Prado del Rey and a statement sent to the media, the CCOO denounces that “some directors of the Corporation” have decided to continue production during the summer “arguing that there was no production person who, from TVE , could be put in front of the summer recordings”. “Why doesn’t it stop in summer, as it has happened on other occasions?”, they wonder.

“We cannot accept that the work of a program director is outsourced to a production company on the grounds that it is summer and there are no people. It is not even a live program, it can be recorded on other dates; it is not acceptable,” he says. CCOO, which points out that the same case has occurred with another mythical format of La 2, Saber y ganar and announces “the mobilizations that are necessary”.

The union denounces that all the strips of TVE’s programming continue “in the hands of producers”, except for the News: “The plan is to outsource it to the sack!”. “The battle that is being waged between offices ‘with carpets’, the inability of HR (even to undertake a call for places with guarantees), the ineffectiveness of the Board of Directors, the lack of strategy and leadership, and the desire to get audiences at all costs, that is to say with the help of a checkbook, leads us along a path in which we can witness that, shortly, on the sets of Prado, Sant Cugat and Torrespaña the staff will be the staff of a production company”, he asserts.

As novelties in this new season, Órbita Laika will celebrate its 100 episodes “in style” with a special chapter, RTVE announces in a statement, in which it advances that the program will renew its image with a new header and will incorporate a collaborator to his team of renowned disseminators: Adrián García, an expert in Physics and disseminator at the Institute of Interdisciplinary Physics and Complex Systems.

Eduardo Saenz de Cabezón will again face the team of outreach workers and experts formed by Ricardo Moure (Biology), Deborah Garcia Bello (Chemistry), Jose Miguel Viñas (Meteorology and Climatology), Helena Gonzalez-Buron (Genetics), Nahum Mendez ( Geology), Laura Moran (Psychology), Xurxo Mariño (Neuroscience) and Marian Garcia (Pharmacy and Nutrition).
