El Hormiguero received on Thursday, March 16, the four finalists of El Desafío in its third edition: Ana Guerra, Rosa López, Laura Escanes and Mariló Montero. The latter received criticism on social networks for monopolizing the role of her in the interview and not leaving time for her companions.
The journalist began by talking about the apnea tests in the contest. It was extended to the point where Pablo Motos had to cut it to make way for an ad break. On her return, she said that Rosa López had offered her a recommendation for said challenge: “She told me to pee.” The woman from Granada and she continued to delve into the subject.
The presenter later asked Laura Escanes about the moment in which she had had the worst time. The ‘influencer’ explained that she had been overwhelmed during a skating test that can be seen in the final: “I was crying from the pity that it was over.” Montero intervened again to say that she had also cried a lot and elaborated when it came to remembering how she prepared for her piano test with Pablo López: “It was hell.”
The Navarrese continued to be the protagonist of El Hormiguero above the other three guests, who had fewer opportunities to talk about El Desafío. In addition, she even asked Roberto Leal questions when Pablo Motos connected with him by video call on the occasion of the delivery of the Pasapalabra boat.
The viewers of Antena 3 criticized Mariló Montero on social networks and regretted that her companions could hardly intervene in the program. “I think the only way for her to shut up and let the others speak is for them to make her do the famous apnea live,” commented one user on Twitter. “Is the interview of the finalists of El Desafío or an interview with Mariló? This aunt has to attract attention everywhere,” said another.
“Every time he speaks, I want to change the channel, what a desire for prominence,” wrote a tweeter. There were also those who questioned Motos for not redirecting the situation: “Very bad, Pablo not all have been able to tell it. He has only spoken one.”
