The 1 broadcast a new installment of MasterChef 11 on Monday, April 24. Jeremy became the expelled of the night after an elimination test in which he competed with Leti, Camino, Laura, Jotha, Ana, Álex and Pilu. The applicants had to create free dishes, but not all played on an equal footing when choosing the ingredients.
The contestants entered the supermarket in pairs, according to an order determined by the winner of the previous challenge, Fray Marcos. He left Jeremy and Laura last, so they were left with only the products their classmates had discarded.
The young man explained that he planned to make a dish with marinated fish and snow peas. “It smells of failure,” they commented to the jury when he was still cooking. The judges tested his preparation and indicated that he was wrong. “Blue whiting is the worst fish to marinate and snow pea is the worst vegetable to mash,” said Samantha Vallejo-Nágera. “It’s minimal and very bad,” Jordi Cruz released.
Jeremy, Jotha and Ana were the applicants who were left on the tightrope. Pepe Rodríguez ended up announcing that the first was the new one eliminated from MasterChef 11, something that caught part of his teammates by surprise.
“There was nothing on that plate, a little green thing, a little fish porridge… At least, in Jotha’s there were some chickpeas that you half ate,” Cruz explained to justify the judges’ decision.
Jeremy admitted his mistakes in the challenge: “My plate was not good today, but I was also very tired.” In addition, he was not shy when talking about some contestants with whom he had collided: “What a bad luck not being able to see how Fray Marcos and Francesc are thrown out.”
The expelled thanked his companions for the experiences they had shared on the program and said that he hoped to see them at his wedding: “Everyone with the black apron and me with the white one.” Laura, who was visibly shaken by Jeremy’s departure, was one of the people who came down from the gallery to give him a hug.
The young man assured that he had learned a lot about cooking in the format, but also on a personal level: “I am stronger than I think.” Before leaving, he had to say who he thinks he will be the winner of MasterChef 11: “I want my David to win. As for winning horses, Eneko, David and Marta.”
