Rosario Flores was at El Hormiguero on Wednesday, April 19. The artist spoke about the premiere of the new edition of La Voz Kids, where she works as a ‘coach’. Pablo Motos took advantage of the interview to ask her about Quique San Francisco, who died in 2021 and with whom she had had a romantic relationship.

The singer confessed: “Every time I come here and see you, I remember him… I have a very big emptiness, a very fat penilla still in my body. I miss him a lot, more than when he was there. I regret not having been with him more, of not having taken care of him more”.

The presenter recounted how he was the moment he saw him for the last time in the funeral home: “I am very rational, but there was something more powerful than me that made me go in to see him.” The guest added: “I think he decided that I should not go.”

She said that she had been left with the thorn of not having been able to say goodbye: “I couldn’t go see him because I was on a trip.” Lolita’s sister explained that she was given the news about her when she was passing through the door of her house in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz): “I fainted, without strength. I was defeated.”

Rosario spoke about her relationship with the actor: “We had an enormous love. He has been one of the best men I have ever had in my life because he also met me at the age of 18 and shaped me, he made me the woman I am today.”

El Hormiguero rescued a photo of the two of them together. “I was 18 there and he was 27. My mother asked me: ‘But what have you seen him?'” the interviewee shared. She also pointed out that her father joked when comparing the interpreter with Marlon Brando: “They got into my house a lot with me.”

The artist recalled some anecdotes and described Quique San Francisco this way: “He was a great being, one of those who no longer exist, generous like no one else… He was an adorable person and with women he was wonderful, the one who took the most care of you and the that pampered you the most. Many times I say ‘I don’t understand why we don’t continue’. We broke up loving each other and then we never came back. I don’t understand why.” She also sent a message to her current partner, Pedro Lazaga: “Well, if my husband is listening to me, forgive me, I’m in love with you.”

Rosario Flores spoke in El Hormiguero about her work at La Voz Kids and defined it as “the most beautiful program that has happened to me in my life.” The ‘coach’ has occupied the red chair in seven of the eight editions. She admitted that at first she had doubts about whether to participate in the musical ‘talent show’: “As long as they want me, I’ll be there.” In addition, she recognized that it is less difficult for her to say ‘no’ to a child than to an adult in the contest.
