Survivors: No Man’s Land offered on Tuesday, April 18, some alarming images of Yaiza Martín, who gave her colleagues and the ‘reality’ team a great scare. The contestant had to be evacuated from the beach in Honduras twice for medical attention after becoming dizzy and having seizures.
It all started when he was fishing and got a fish. “It’s already shaking,” said Raquel Arias. “Calm down, you already have it. It doesn’t go away from there,” added Diego Pérez. The Canarian woman handed the animal over to Ginés Corregüela and headed for some rocks. Sitting down, he closed his eyes and clasped his head in his hands. Those around her realized that she was not feeling well.
“My legs go numb,” he shared. Everyone who was with her tried to help her. They helped her onto the floor and turned her on her side in case she needed to vomit. The participant was unable to react for a few moments. “Can you hear us? Give us a sign,” Diego and Asraf told him.
A boat approached the place where he was to offer him medical attention. The cameras showed how she was shaking and she was having some convulsions, so they took her away. Her boyfriend was left very worried on the shore.
Pérez wanted to calm Corregüela: “Everything will turn out well, you’ll see.” The ‘tiktoker’ confessed: “I’m not calm. It comes from having a very bad time in Spain. They are attacking her poor thing to the fullest and all of her is coming together.”
Yaiza Martín was able to return to the beach with her fellow Survivors 2023. However, she starred in another similar episode again and suffered a second dizziness. The program showed how she would sit down again with her eyes closed and end up lying on the sand.
Her companions covered her with a blanket and gave her water. The doctors from the Telecinco program had to intervene and attend to her again. “What happened? Has he had a seizure?” Asked one of them upon arriving at the scene. “Yes, she has started to shake again a little bit,” Ginés replied. The professionals took her away on a stretcher.
Carlos Sobera explained after the video that the contestant has already recovered: “The first thing we have to say is peace of mind. She is restored, she is fine, she is normal. She had drops in tension. I think that hunger, heat and such have past invoice”. Spectators were able to see Yaiza live and in good health during the salvation ceremony.
