Vincent Cassel gave an interview to El Hormiguero on Wednesday, April 12. The French actor, who presented the film The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan, surprised by speaking in Spanish.
“It strikes me how well you speak Spanish,” said Pablo Motos. “The truth is that my Spanish is a ‘portuñol’ because I lived in Brazil for a long time,” confessed the interpreter, who also spoke a little in Portuguese. “Latin languages ??are very similar. If you understand a little bit, it’s a dance,” he said with a laugh.
The artist has three daughters: Deva and Léonie, the result of his relationship with Monica Bellucci, and Amazonie, whose mother is Tina Kunakey. In the Antena 3 format, Cassel revealed the advice that his father, the actor Jean-Pierre Cassel, gave him, and that he has also instilled in his daughters.
“In all forms of art, when they are coming to market, there are always older people who say that things have to be this way. The freedom to do something original, to find your own way of doing things, is very important,” exposed.
“Disobeying is very important. In this age of social networks, which are a type of propaganda about how to live, it is very important to manage these things and disobey,” he claimed.
Vincent Cassel gave some details about The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan, a film directed by Martin Bourboulon and based on the well-known novel by Alexandre Dumas. “The themes are very important. It talks about integrity and friendship. But one important thing with this particular version is that it’s the first French version for 60 years,” he said.
The guest gives life to Athos on the tape. “Athos was an interesting role because he is the most dramatic musketeer because he has that thing of nostalgia, of guilt, of the past love with Eva Green. He has a dark thing that I like a lot,” he advanced. The cast also includes François Civil, Romain Duris, Pio Marmai, Lyna Khoudri, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Vicky Krieps and Louis Garrel, among others. The feature film will hit Spanish theaters this Friday, April 14.
