Alejandra Marín and Jorge Carmena were in Pasapalabra on Friday, March 17, one day after viewers saw how Rafa Castaño won a jackpot of 2,272,000 euros. Upon completing the rosco, he and Orestes Barbero had to leave the Antena 3 space and were replaced by these new contestants.
Alejandra Marín is a journalist from Madrid. She acknowledged that she was a bit nervous during her performance on the show. “How many children do you have?” Roberto Leal asked. She said that she has three: “They call me brave, unconscious I say.” Their names are Víctor, Íker and Pablo, who are 13, 11 and 7 years old, respectively. “I don’t get bored, they don’t leave me time,” she said.
The participant revealed that one of her passions is cooking: “I like it a lot.” The driver of the format added that she is very good at biscuits, before which she was willing to prepare one to take to the set.
Jorge Carmena is an Early Childhood Education teacher: “My children are four years old.” He is also from Madrid, like his opponent in Pasapalabra, since he comes from Aranjuez.
The teacher confessed in his first talk with Roberto Leal: “I am excited and nervous in equal parts.” Also, they both joked about being the same age and only being born three days apart. On the other hand, the contestant shared that he has two children, named Marcos and Lucía, 12 and 9 years old, respectively. “They have shipped me here,” he declared.
Alejandra and Jorge competed for a jackpot of 100,000 euros in their first duel in the rosco. He claimed victory on Friday, March 17, after coming up with 22 hits and no errors. She, who had stumbled upon the definition of “gringo”, tried to come back, but was unable to overcome her rival.
In their second confrontation, which could be seen on Antena 3 on Monday, March 20, they fought for a prize of 106,000 euros. Jorge ended up standing with 22 hits and one miss. Alejandra managed to match her mark, so the program ended in a draw and neither of them will have to go through the blue chair on Tuesday the 21st.
