The Waterboys Set to Embark on Extensive 2025 UK Tour
The Waterboys, the renowned folk-rock band, have exciting news for their fans as they announce a UK headline tour for 2025. The tour is set to coincide with the release of their upcoming studio album.
Kicking off in Basingstoke on May 1, the band will travel to various cities including Bath, Nottingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Leicester, and more throughout the month. The tour will culminate in a performance at the Roundhouse in Camden Town, London on May 31.
Lead singer Mike Scott expressed the band’s enthusiasm for the tour, stating, “The Waterboys live for the experience of playing, of feeling our music evolve and grow with each consecutive concert.” Fans can expect an unforgettable live music experience filled with fun and thrills.
Tickets for the tour go on general sale tomorrow at 10am BST, with pre-sale information available on Ticketmaster. The band also hinted at additional shows in Scotland and Ireland, as well as dates in Europe, North America, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand in 2025.
While fans eagerly await the release of the band’s next album, following the success of ‘All Souls Hill’ in 2022, they can dive into the band’s history with the ‘1985’ box set, which delves into the making of their iconic third record, ‘This Is the Sea’.
Despite facing the loss of former member Karl Wallinger earlier this year, The Waterboys continue to push forward with their music and are set to deliver an unforgettable tour experience in 2025.
