LOS ANGELES , Eight people were arrested and more than 3,000 lbs (1,360 kg) of marijuana was seized by police after they served a search warrant at a Los Angeles cannabis growing facility.

Los Angeles police reported that narcotics officers were led by tips from residents to the facility at an industrial park in Sylmar, San Fernando Valley.

CBS 2 News reported that officers also took two rifles, a shotgun and a pistol, as well as more than $30,000 worth of cash.

The news station reported that code violations were found at the warehouse. They included dangerous wiring and dangerous fumes coming from large diesel generators.
