Created in 1982 to encourage the five million French people who practice a musical instrument to share their passion with their neighbours, the Fête de la Musique celebrated its 40th anniversary last year. Under the Louvre Pyramid
The Orchester de Paris, conducted by Klaus Mäkelä, meets you under the Louvre pyramid at 10 p.m. Even if the places are free, think of reserving on the site of the museum, because they are limited. On the program: three pieces by Puccini and Gabrieli for a trip to Italy, in a nod to the “Naples in Paris” exhibition. But also Atmospheres by Ligeti, and the sequel to Stravinsky’s The Firebird.
France Inter invests, for its part, the stage of the Olympia with five mini-concerts also free (from 8 p.m.) of the singer Zaho de Sagazan, Jain, but also the Briton Arlo Parks and two heavyweights of French rap : Dinos and Lomepal.
Opéra-bouffe in front of the Comédie Française
The Oya Hephale troupe will offer, Place Colette, excerpts from an operetta composed by Jacques Offenbach in 1868 to a libretto by the duo Meilhac-Halévy: Les Brigands. The story of a gang of thieves in an imaginary Spain.
Boom at the Jardin d’Acclimatation

Like every year, the estate where Marcel Pagnol lived will offer several free outdoor concerts. From 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.: the group Nomade will play their pop-rock and reggae repertoire. The Orchester symphonique de Lyon (OSL) offers a surprising musical encounter in the main courtyard of the town hall. After a prelude performed by the master carillonneur of the town hall, who will play tunes from film music, the 75 musicians of the OSL will offer you, under the direction of Jean-Pierre Prajoux, a few pieces from their repertoire.

For its first edition, Kraken Fest invites Toulouse residents to Espace Rouguet for a series of concerts. The first part, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., is dedicated to entertainment by “amateur” musicians, with workshops for children and jams. The second part (from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.) hosts four concerts by Toulouse and Occitan groups. In the program ? The Studio de la danse will invite you to “guincher” on the Place du Bouffay (from 6:30 p.m.) before returning to the Eclats de voix choirs on the Cours Cambronne (at 8 p.m.), then the Uniisson choir on the Place Sainte-Croix (at 9 pm).

The main concert of the Fête de la Musique in Strasbourg will take place at Place Kléber, where a large stage has been erected. On Wednesday evening, every hour, the groups Just Dance, Maeva, Amoure, The One Armed Man and Lyre Le Temps will follow one another.
