A fire that occurred Tuesday evening August 22 in a three-storey building in Mantes-la-Ville (Yvelines) left eight injured, including one seriously, learned Agence France-Presse from the firefighters. The origin of the disaster is at this stage unknown, according to the same source.
The seriously injured, an occupant of the building, was intoxicated and slightly burned. He was evacuated to the Mantes-la-Ville hospital center. One of the seven slightly injured is a firefighter, the others residents of the building, located near Square Verlaine.
About 50 occupants left the building when the fire broke out in a first-floor apartment around 7 p.m.
The fire was extinguished thanks to the mobilization of 44 firefighters, in particular equipped with water lances.
This disaster occurred three days after the serious fire which killed three people including a teenager and nearly twenty injured on Saturday in a residential tower in a city of L’Île-Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint- Denis), north of Paris.
