Kevin Clark, who played with Freddy Jones in School of Rock, has expired.
Multiple outlets, for example, Chicago Sun-Times, reported Clark’s death on Wednesday (May 26), mentioning the reason for death as a road collision. Clark had been riding his bicycle in Chicago, when he had been hit by an automobile at approximately 1:20 a.m.. He was subsequently pronounced dead at the Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
Jack Black, who had been the direct in 2003’s musical comedy School of Rock — Clark’s only acting charge before he became a musician — submitted a tribute to Clark on Instagram. Kevin is now gone. Too soon. Stunning soul. So many wonderful memories. Heartbroken. Sending love to his family and the entire School of Rock community.”
In the post, Black contained a picture of his character Dewey Finn in the movie, along with Clark as Freddy, the outspoken drummer.
Clark is survived by his mother and sister.
