The adventures of the inmates of Litchfield will end with its seventh season. The cast of Orange Is the New Black has announced the end of the series of Netflix via a video posted on social networks where appreciative of the support of the fans.

In 2016, and months before the premiere of the fourth season, the giant of the streaming renewed the prison drama for three more seasons. The agreement included the commitment of the creator and showrunner of the series, Jenji Kohan, to continue directing the series during the fifth, sixth and seventh season, which eventually will mark the outcome of the veteran drama.
“After seven seasons, it’s time to get out of jail,” said Kohan, according to a report in Variety. “I will miss all of the fantastic women of Litchfield and the amazing team with which we worked. My heart is orange, but it blends to black”, he added, in reference to the end.
Orange Is the New Black is one of the flagships of Netflix. The critically acclaimed drama builds up four Emmy awards and stands as the series more view of the platform. Between the drama and the comedy, this fiction is inspired by the book of the same name and the prison experience of Piper Kerman. The cast, mostly women, is led by Taylor Schilling, Uzo Aduba, Kate Mulgrew, Laura Prepon, Laverne Cox, Dascha Polanco, Danielle Brooks, Selenis Leyva, Taryn Manning, Yael Stone, Jackie Cruz, Lea DeLaria, Adrienne C. Moore, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Michael Harney and Nick Sandow. Lionsgate produces the series.
on The 27th of July, Netflix premiered the sixth season of Orange Is the New Black. It is expected that the seventh and final installment debut in the summer of 2019.
