“You want to spend time with me, launches Willy Rovelli on France Bleu, as I understand you. His news proves him right. PAF jack-of-all-trades, the actor, humorist and host is known to the greatest number for his participation for a decade in the game “Fort Boyard”, on France 2, in particular in the role of the sadistic cook who makes candidates swallow filthy dishes. Surprise: Saturday, July 1, the day of the launch of the 34th season, viewers will find him at the presentation of the second part of “Fort Boyard”, following Olivier Minne.
On the radio, he has been on France Bleu since the start of the 2019 school year, where he presents, on weekdays, a column, “Willy Rovelli puts the dots on the i”, at 8:50 a.m., and “We are not sheltered from doing a good show”, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., which wants to be close to people and the subjects that interest them: purchasing power, children, home… With the particularity, once a month, to invite oneself to lunch with a listener – based on an idea from the presenter himself. It is this version, renamed “Willy comes to lunch at your place”, which, for the first time, Saturday, June 24, is doubled as a television version – other episodes will be shot if the public is there.
Version too short
Certainly, on the form, you have to love the character, his voice and his ego humor; but, basically, this entertainment professional undeniably knows how to do it. Chance ? Willy Rovelli goes, for this unpublished, to Annecy-le-Vieux, in Haute-Savoie, his department of birth. Accompanied by his columnist Fabien Emo, he is invited to a farm in town by Aline and Cédric, a couple of farmers who are raising their three children… and forty-five dairy cows. A happy family that earns a decent income from the short-circuit sale of its Aux Douceurs de la ferme products.
Once seated with the family in the barn, surrounded by a dozen cows who have remained there for the occasion, Mr. Willy leads the conversation. “When we criticize farmers, does it affect you? “; “You can be a farmer and an eco-friendly? “; ” You work a lot ? “We sleep thirty-five hours a week,” Cedric replies with a smile. It will also be about AOP standards for Reblochon, manufacturing time, vending machine…
Four rather funny interludes punctuate the conversation: the milking of a cow; bottle-bucket feeding a calf; potting skyr; the sale of ice cream by the lake. “After accelerated training,” laughs Willy Rovelli. This is indeed the only problem with this playful show: while the radio version lasts forty-eight minutes, the TV version lacks a quarter of an hour, too short for the same density. Another detail to improve for next time: Mr. Willy, you don’t arrive at your hosts empty-handed.
